Stephanie Turck, CDP, Receives Mary Alyce Beardslee Distinguished Service Award

Congratulations to Sister Stephanie Turck on her March 22, 2014, reception of the Mary Alyce Beardslee Distinguished Service Award from Madison County (Ill.) Catholic Charities.

Madison County Catholic Charities gives the Mary Alyce Beardlsee Distinguished Service Award to individuals who are outstanding examples of community spirit and compassion toward people who are suffering. Sister Stephanie, who served two terms as president of Madison County Catholic Charities and was a board member for several years, more than meets these requirements.

Explaining how the award got its name, Sister Stephanie says, "Mary Alyce Beardslee worked for Catholic Charities for many years placing children with adoptive families. She was a wonderful, wonderful lady."

Sister Mary Thomas Jirauch, now deceased, received this award in 2007.
